Parents : Parent Portal Access
What is the Parent Portal Access: PPA is an online tool that allows parents to access information about their child, including academic performance, school attendance and other crucial information. Before a parent can use PPA, he or she must complete a three-step registration process.
Parent
Internet Viewer Registration Process:
Parents visit the
M-DCPS Parent Portal
(Click HERE!) and select the "Create an
Account" button, in the lower half of the Parent Portal page. Video
tutorials in English, Spanish and Creole are available for the parents' perusal.
The parent will be prompted to complete personalized information for his/her
child including the child's 7-digit Student ID Number,
the last four digits of the child's social security number
(if on record), the child's date of birth and the
birthplace of the child. The parent must then enter
his/her own profile information for the Parent Internet Viewer account. If valid
information has been entered for both the child and the parent, the account
confirmation screen, with a provided password will be presented. This password
must be safely stored, as it will be used to access the account at a later date.
Parents must wait at least a full 24 hours before accessing the new Parent
Internet Viewer account.
Accounts accessed prior to a 24 hour
processing period may be deactivated or even cancelled.
